Typing a new keyword

Ana tags Measuring Pumpkins with the keyword Pumpkins, which no lesson has used yet. She types it in and saves.

Keywords is open, so a label no keyword has yet becomes a new keyword when the lesson is saved. Ana can add one because her role, editor, lets her add terms as well as edit lessons. Grades and Subjects are closed: typing there finds a term they already have, by its label or a synonym, but never adds one.

Try it: find Pumpkins on the page, then read the two entries under the lesson.

Ana types the grade Pre-K on Counting Coins

Grades has no Pre-K

Typing a grade finds one Grades already has, by its label or a synonym, as “first grade” finds Grade 1, but only Keywords adds a term you type. Choose a grade from the list; if one is missing, ask a maintainer to add it.

What Ana would be told on typing a grade Grades doesn't have, Pre-K, on Counting Coins.

If you tried this

Ana's save made two changes, each recorded under her name: the lesson's save, and the new keyword. From now on, Pumpkins is there for everyone to pick, on any lesson.
