Renaming a term changes it everywhere

Teachers kept searching for “telling time”, so Ben renamed the strand Time to Telling time. Telling Time to the Hour had been published in March, before he did.

A lesson doesn't keep its own copy of a tag's label; it points at the term. So a new label shows wherever the term is used as soon as it's changed: in what editors see, in what readers see, and in every saved version. Terms aren't saved in versions or published the way lessons are.

Try it: compare the strand readers see with the strand on Ana's first saved version, from 2 March.

Loading Telling Time to the Hour

Nobody published Telling Time to the Hour again, yet readers see Telling time. That's the difference to remember: a change to a lesson waits to be published, and a change to a term doesn't. The audit log records that Ben changed the label, but not what it was before.
