Retiring a choice
The level Enrichment is being merged into Extension.
An option leaves a list in two stages. First it's retired: new saves can't choose it, but lessons that have it keep it. Then every lesson that has it is changed to its replacement at once.
Try it: compare the three stages, then read what Ana would be told.
Retiring Enrichment from a lesson's level, in three stages
1. Before
The level list offers
- Core
- Extension
- Support
- Enrichment
An older lesson's level
Enrichment
Writers may choose it.
2. Enrichment retired
The level list offers
- Core
- Extension
- Support
- Enrichment, not offered
An older lesson's level
Enrichment
New saves can't choose it. An older lesson still shows Enrichment until the next stage.
3. Replaced everywhere
The level list offers
- Core
- Extension
- Support
- Enrichment, not offered
An older lesson's level
Extension
Every lesson that held Enrichment now holds Extension.
Before: the list offers Core, Extension, Support, Enrichment; an older lesson shows Enrichment. Enrichment retired: the list offers Core, Extension, Support; an older lesson shows Enrichment. Replaced everywhere: the list offers Core, Extension, Support; an older lesson shows Extension.

Watch for the middle stage: a lesson can show a level you can no longer choose. To save it, choose another level.
