Deleting a resource
Teachers have stopped using Color Wheel Slides, so Ben deletes them. A deleted resource leaves nothing behind to look at, so the sample keeps two Art curricula that started out the same. Ben deleted Color Wheel Slides from the second one only, and the first shows how it was before.
Deleting a resource deletes every row that places it, in every curriculum, all at once. There's nothing to publish: readers lose the rows when editors do. And it's for good. A deleted resource can't be brought back, only written again as a new one. Only a curriculum manager can delete a resource: when a writer such as Ana tries, the tools refuse.
Try it: select Color Wheel Slides in Art, then look for it in Art (after the deletion).
Lesson 1 now holds only its Teach Book, and nothing in the outline marks where the slides were. The record of the deletion is in the audit log, which keeps the resource's title and who deleted it (“Viewing recent activity” shows one). So before you delete a resource, check every curriculum that places it, as “One resource in many curricula” shows.
