Step 3 of 5 in Getting started

Sample data, read from content-sdk

Who's who

The sample's saved versions name the people who made them: “Ana saved this on 3 March”, “Ben published it on 12 March”. These are the sample's three people, and each is a real account in content-sdk.

Each account has a role, which says what that person may do. Ana and Lucía are editors: they write and save, in English or Spanish, but can't publish. Ben is a curriculum manager, whose role adds publishing and deleting. The next step, “What your role lets you do”, shows each role in full.

This site has an account too, so it's in the list. Its roles let it read the sample and the audit log, and change nothing.

Try it: find who publishes the sample's lessons, and the role that lets them.

Loading the sample's people

From here on, a name in a history is one of these three people. Their roles explain what you'll see: Lucía can save a Spanish version but can't publish it, so Ben does.
