Step 1 of 5 in Content in other languages

Each language is a whole version of its own
Ana wrote the Quarter Hours Teach Book in English, and Lucía wrote its Spanish version. They're one resource, with a version in each language.
A Spanish version isn't a layer over the English one. It has every field of its own: its own title, its own file name. None of a resource's fields is shared between the two, so saving one never changes the other. Each language is published on its own too, so one resource can be published in Spanish while its English has changes waiting.
Try it: compare the title, the file name, and the status in the two languages.
Ana saved a new file to the English version on 20 April, after Ben published it, so English has changes not published. The Spanish version is published, with nothing waiting. If you write in Word or Google Docs, think of two documents kept together under one name, rather than one document holding two languages.
